Digital Literacy
Technology can help communities to grow through connection and education. Watch Communications partners with Microsoft Airband to provide access to broadband Internet to help you find learning resources to build digital skills.
Microsoft Airband
Watch Communications and Microsoft’s Airband initiative are partners to bring broadband Internet to rural America. Watch is one of Microsoft’s partners in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio where the companies focus on expanding access to high-speed Internet to under- and unserved areas over the next 5 years.
According to the FCC, there are more than 18.3 million Americans who lack broadband access with more than 14.4 million living in rural America. Through the Watch-Microsoft partnership, we’re also working with organizations like 4H, Future Farmers of America, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to advance the education of those looking to improve their understanding of the Internet and the many opportunities available through an online world.
